Legislative Affairs

Develops legislation and support information, and finds sponsors for legislation. The office also provides legislators and staff with information about the department's programs.

Northeast District

Jurisdiction: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee Taylor and Union counties.

Northwest District

Jurisdiction: Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Wakulla, Walton and Washington counties.

Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection

Coordinates the protection of the state’s natural, cultural and economic coastal resources, and manages more than 5.3 million acres of submerged lands and coastal uplands.

Office of Sustainable Initiatives

Voluntary, non-regulatory programs that promote sustainability in Florida businesses, schools and homes.

Office of the Secretary

The Secretary of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities and duties vested in DEP.
