Introducing Florida's Coral Reef + SEAFAN

An introduction to our reef: What are corals, why are they important, what threats do they face, and what can we do to protect them? The Southeast Florida Action Network (SEAFAN) is a citizen reporting and response system designed to improve the protection and management of southeast Florida's offshore coral reefs - learn more about SEAFAN and how to get involved!

BleachWatch Observer Training

Recreational, commercial and scientific divers are encouraged to become part of the BleachWatch Observer Network by participating in a training session. This class includes a short lesson on coral biology, an overview of coral bleaching and disease, a description of the BleachWatch Early Warning Program, and how to properly assess coral condition, record observations and submit reports.
