County Solid Waste Management Reporting

All of Florida's 67 counties are required to submit their annual solid waste management data. This information is used to develop Florida's annual report on the state's solid waste management efforts.

Public Sector Recycling Reporting Program

403.7032(3), Florida Statutes: "Each state agency, public institution of higher learning, community college, and state university, including all buildings that are occupied by municipal, county, or state employees and entities occupying buildings managed by the Department of Management Services, must at a minimum, annually report all recycled materials to the county using the department’s [DEP's] designated reporting format.”

Florida Recycling Recognition Program

The Recycling Recognition Program was developed to encourage private businesses, institutions, schools, public organizations and residents to increase recycling to reach Florida’s recycling goal of 75 percent by 2020.

America Recycles Day

America Recycles Day is celebrated on November 15 of each year.  It is the only nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States.
