Doing Business with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is committed to the professional management and procurement of commodities and contractual services. DEP uses the following state systems in the procurement of commodities and services.

Vendor Information Portal -  To do business with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, a vendor must first register using the vendor information portal. Registered vendors can use this system to receive information on upcoming solicitations, post information on products and services, and receive purchase orders electronically.

Please note this system is managed by the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS). All questions concerning VIP should be directed to DMS.

MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) – MFMP is Florida's online procurement system and is used for interactions between vendors and state government entities that purchase goods and services. Please be aware that for each purchase, vendors are required to pay the state a transaction fee, unless exempt as indicated in Rule 60A-1.032, Florida Administrative Code.

Please note this system is managed by the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS). All questions concerning MFMP should be directed to DMS.

Vendor Bid System (VBS) – This system provides access to all bid solicitations including Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Proposals (RFP), Invitations to Negotiate (ITN), etc. Registered vendors can request email notifications as well as view current bid advertisements online. Vendors interested in bidding on formal solicitations (greater than $35,000) will need to register in the Vendor Bid System.

Please note this system is managed by the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS). All questions concerning VBS should be directed to DMS.

Substitute Form W-9 - Vendors are required to register their Substitute Form W-9 to prevent unnecessary delays in payment processing.

Please note this system is managed by the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS). All questions concerning W-9 should be directed to DFS.

Florida Certified Business Enterprise - DEP is committed to providing opportunities for small businesses, including minority-, veteran- and women-owned business enterprises, to competitively participate in procurement opportunities.

Please note this system is managed by the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS). All questions concerning VBS should be directed to DMS.
