DEP Celebrates Earth Science Week with Florida Geological Survey's Open House

In celebration of Earth Science Week, the Florida Geological Survey (FGS) will host its open house on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023.

Earth Science Week (Oct. 9-15) is a national event sponsored by the American Geosciences Institute that encourages people to explore the natural world and learn about the geosciences and how they illuminate natural change processes.

This year's open house will feature FGS' renovated museum containing new exhibits and learning spaces, including a replica of Waller’s terror bird. Enjoy interactive displays and education for all ages, with microscope stations, the FGS drill rig and more. A food truck will be on-site.
