Legendary Marina - Legendary, Inc.Okaloosa County

The Department received an application on 08/22/2023 with revisions on 9/13/2024, for an ERP Individual Permit to construct an upland cut marina basin, an offshore navigation channel connecting the upland basin to an existing navigation channel in Choctawhatchee Bay, and associated stormwater management facilities. The marina will have 71 boat slips, a 500 vessel capacity boat barn, a haul out area, and fueling. The offshore navigation channel will have a length or 878 feet, a bottom width of 100 feet, 1V:4H slopes, and two jetties at the entrance to the marina. Submerged aquatic vegetation is proposed to be impacted and a mitigation plan has been submitted to offset these impacts.

St. Joe EMA 1Bay and Walton CountiesOn Oct. 11, 2004, The St. Joe Company and the department established the Ecosystem Management Agreement for Bay and Walton counties (EMA). The EMA provides a flexible and predictable permitting process that will benefit the public and ERP applicants and will yield a net ecosystem benefit to the region over the traditional individual permit process.
