The District and Business Support Program (DBSP) provides technical support services to the division and DEP district offices. Services include professional consultation on all aspects of site assessment, human health and ecological risk assessment, and remedial action for all types of site cleanups, including district-led cleanup, and cross-over issues in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and solid waste programs. DBSP provides support for the department's land management programs when they are dealing with questions about actual or potential contamination on land being considered for acquisition. We also work closely with the water management districts in evaluating possible ecological risk on projects associated with the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP).

A core tenet of the DBSP mission is to provide a diverse range of support to the division and the six districts across the state. We dedicate time to providing technical support for site cleanup operations, formulating in-depth guidance on interpretation and implementation of waste cleanup statutes and rules, and coordinating with the districts to strive for a uniform approach to solving environmental challenges statewide.
