DEP is proposing revisions to Chapter 62-6, F.A.C., to ensure proper regulation for onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems (OSTDS) in Florida. The purpose of this second rule development workshop is to present DEP's proposed rule revisions, which are being developed to in accordance with legislative direction in 2022 Senate Bill 856 (Chapter 2022-105, Laws of Florida) related to private provider inspections. Proposed amendments to the rule will define authority for qualified private provider inspectors to perform inspections of OSTDS upon written authorization by the OSTDS owner.

The department is hosting this public workshop both in person and virtually via Microsoft Teams. Once available, copies of meeting materials will be available on the webpage below.
